So far I have impregnated and always painted with water based products, but now is a good thing to give a few hands of acrylic product, to create a surface more regular and more particularly resistant. After giving two or three coats of white with the spray, letting it dry each time, wait at least a day to make sure the paint is dry. To make more realistic my creation, I decided to cover it with a skin of polished metal using a self-adhesive aluminum tape, cut the two halves and then do join. You see that on the back and belly are formed of small folds, which is smooth with a smooth iron, such as the stem of a screwdriver. Now it's just brilliant, and pressing lightly with a blunt knife with a blade, do the a pattern like scales. To paint the back and belly, it is better to make these opaque parts with the passing boater end, then do a splash of light blue on the back and white on the belly, then wipe with the black on the back. Painted yellow scrap of aluminum tape, and a punch of 6 mm cut eyes, glue them with a brush and do the pupils. When everything is dry, do a final coat of clear acrylic that will protect the aluminum from oxidation. Now glue the headstock, to which I gave a shape a bit 'countersunk, and the treble hook. The static test in the water is fine, you just have to try it in action.
